In the USA the Camaro's black and gold scheme was directly influence by the JPS racing colour scheme, not sure if there was an official connection though.

In Australia & UK you could get an E21 or later E30 323i JPS limited edition, they raced a black 635CSi but I dont think there was an official road version of that

If I ever get round to restoring this:

Then I am sorely tempted to paint it like this:

The JPS Esprit is a delicious looking car.

Yep.

S1s had Fiat X1/9 lamps.
S2 and S3 were Rover SD1.
Stevens Esprits were Toyota.

Can't find a picture, but they also did a Lotus Elan +2 JPS limited edition, black with a gold roof.

My mate Andy has his in the colours - we arent sure if it came out of the factory that way though because his is an S3 and they only made the factory special edition of the S2

Here is his next to mine

A neighbour of mine had the Capri JPS. This was around
1976 - 77 and he was adamant that it use to belong to
Jackie Stewart. I wouldn't of thought this was right
as I know he had a long relationship with Ford not sure about JPS.
Anyway I didn't believe him back then and I was only 13.

Vague memory of an XJS or BMW 635
