As a bit of a favour to TopCats I said I'd try to find a couple of punters to fill their day at Donington on the 29th July.

It's a day with tuition at the track with four people sharing their Caterham. Cost is £250+VAT.

So if you fancy a day hooning around Donny in their Caterham, complete with instruction then drop Charlotte a line on wassa@aol.com

Is that £250 each for four people (i.e £1k) or £250 for all four people?

If it's £250 between 4, I'll be up for it.
Otherwise, bugger.....

bear in mind that it costs £293.80 inc VAT - that ma be out of reach for me I'm afraid...however, to be shared between 4 makes it eminently possible

Ted - I'm assuming that this is £250 each driver (based on the £500 each drive for the Tuscan), if so do you know how many session/time each driver will get?

And what the situation is re any damage etc? (was at Oulton Park yesterday and watched an R500 have a hell of a lot of damage done to it by a ire customer)

It's £250+VAT each. Bear in mind this is for the car, track time at Donny and instruction so don't compare it with the cost of a track day alone.

You should get 25% of the on track time during the day. So approximately 15 minutes every hour or so? Not sure of the specifics, just said I'd give it a mention as they have two of the places filled and are looking for two more people.

Come on chaps as Ted has said the cost is £250.00 per person. Think about what you are getting....

£250.00+VAT per head based on 4 drivers sharing equally. All inclusive day (ie. car hire, instruction with intercom radio, insurance, track fees, team support)

Day operates from 9/9.30am until 5/5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch, so maximum driving time. That's 7 hrs track time.

Car: Caterham 7 'K' Series 1.4, still race specification and on race tyres - superb handling and condition.

To take your car on a track day will cost a lot more, given your track day fee, your track day insurance, petrol, wear on brakes/tyres etc. + about a £1 per min for instruction. The cost isn't as high as you think given all of the above !!

Agreed that it's good value, it's just that if I spend the "holiday money", I'll need extra life insurance.

Here we go hope this answers your question......

If car is damaged by someone coming off its end of day.
If it breaks in morning with mechanical failure we will organise another free day.
If it breaks late afternoon then that's that.

We normally play it by ear on the day. So far 20 trackdays with all the cars and not had one break but people have to remember they are performance cars and one day we will get a breakage
