Hi Chaps,

Wondering what people's experiences have been with getting alloys refurbed. Got one on the Alfa that's taken a bit of a kicking (not by me, I hasten to add) and could really do with a refurb. Will it come back looking the same as the others or will I need them all done? Does the finish last or does it crack? How much should I pay? etc etc.

Any thoughts welcome,

Gylen

ETA Doh! Wrong forum - Could a friendly Mod put this in GG please?

Get them powder coated rather than just painted (think this works for Silver - although the ones I had done were white and this finish definitely works for that coplour). Wicked Wheels are very good, and pretty reasonable.

Sorry about the double move - I hit the wrong thread! Should get more replies here though.

I've had some incredibly bad results for top money (idiot in Dublin who came recommended by BMW Owners Club!) and incredibly good results for average money (nice chaps in Essex done via a garage that was restoring my whole car) - make sure you go to someone who's reputation is established and see them in person/some of their work!
