Father Christmas has come early

Headed up to Harrogate today to check over the latest purchase - 450 mile round trip and totally knackered, but over the moon at getting it - pick it up next Saturday!

One of only two AC Cobra 212 S/C's (the other is in the States & LHD), driven by Damon Hill / Jezza etc and used as the pace car on the first UK NASCAR race - Carbon Fibre Body, 950kg total weight, Lotus 3.5ltr Twin Turbo 350 bhp engine - counting down the minutes now
Happy Christmas to All.

I think the EVO quote was "buying a pint and then putting custard on the top" or something or other - refering to the flat plane turbo'd V8 sound tied to Cobra image - but they're a bunch of gob-sh
tes - car preferences are totally subjective.....for me its a modern update of the iconic AC Cobra - its very well put together, sounds great and goes like the clappers

Right, I knew it was something uncomplimentary but couldn't remember exactly what and couldn't be bothered to go through all my back issues. Obviously I haven't been in a Cobra or a Lotus V8 powered car for that matter so can't comment until I have the opportunity. Looks good in red BTW.

- even told the petrol pump attendant on the way home - I missed out on it when it came up for sale a few years ago at Duncan Hamilton - so thinking about picking up a genuine AC Cobra next week has me jabbering like an idiotLooks like an amazingly special car. I always thought that if I had that much money to spend I'd want something that made me love it every time I saw it, as well as hopefully never/seldom seeing another one on the roads. Forget what everyone says, at the end of the day it's all about what you like. You're clearly aching to drive it, which to me smacks of buying the right car!
I see you also have a Makinen Evo, which is one of my 'achievable' car goals. Clearly going to a good home! Hope you enjoy it, mate.

Jim - for sure - the build quality of the car is stunning and be happy to let you guys have a look - good to be championing British build quality for once.
....the carbon fibre body is something else (weave on the innner bonnet + boot looks good) - will photgraph the trip back down the M1 next Saturday
