Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta - Vs - Pirelli P Zero/Zero Rosso
Discussion
The time has come to fit another full set of boots to the XJR. The last set I fitted were Pirelli P Zero and have covered about 25,000 miles. Although they have worn well and evenly, I've never been happy with the ride and level of tramlining (a nature of the car, but I feel the tyres don't help).
I've read some very good things about Vredesteins and am tempted to give them a go. Specifically I've read that the ride and resistance to tramlining are very good. Price-wise they are less than the P-Zeros which is always handy too.
Then there is the P-Zero Rosso. Apart from being significantly cheaper than the Zero (and a fair bit less than the Ultrac Sessanta), what is the difference? In what way are they 'not as good'?
So, has anyone got any knowledge of any of these tyres and specifically on heavy, powerful cars like the XJR?
Unless anyone has any really strong reasons to reccommend another tyre over these three, then please keep the discussion to just these tyres.

I would fit the Pirellis or one of the other recommended tyres from the Jaguar handbook.
Those tyres are signed off for high speed running on the car, and while other tyres may be correctly speed rated, how the vehicle handles when you lift off mid-bend on the autobahn is very worthwhile to know.
The other useful thing to know about the Jag approved tyres is that you can run them at comfort pressures of 28psi all round and that makes the car much more pleasant to drive.

Though not quite as heavy and not quite as powerful, a few of the 4th generation Camaro guys have the Sessantas and vouch for them as the best tires they've gotten. Another few said they were great in the rain. Haven't heard anything bad about them, really. I spotted a thread about them in the Vette forums too, though they are relatively lightweight.
For reference, the Camaro weighs about 3500 lbs (1587 kg) and would pump out around 350 bhp in factory form, though most of the guys with these tires are not in stock factory form.
