Company car tax

Can anyone give me an explanation of how company car tax is calculated? Have tried a few net calculators but not sure how they arrive the the answer. I know that the co2 emission has a bearing on the cost. Can you recommend something practical for about 16k with low co2. Must have large boot. Also what is the tax implecation of fuel for personal milage? Cheers.
