It only takes a few years for cars to look dated, but when you look at this pic of a Lotus Esprit it is difficult to believe its design is now 20 years old.

I guess great design doesn't go out of date and one of the best-looking Esprits is arguably the V8, which was also one of the last.

Let's hope its long-awaited successor looks just as good when it arrives in two years time.

Cripes! Look at the top of the gear lever and edges of the steering wheel. High mileage? I should say so and some. Still, with an MoT it's not bad at all. Bet it doesn't have service history.

I've always loved the Esprit. My favourite is the original and somewhat more understated X180 Turbo, I'm not so keen on the round lights and bigs wings on the face lifted V8's.

Having owned a few over the years I found the one that got most praise was the 4 pot SE version

I loved the 89 SE, the spoiler made the car, best colour combination has to be Calypso Red with Magnolia.

How'dy partner !

Thats cause you live in a hot climate ? try one on our Hole'y,Salty,Mucky,Dirty,Stinking, unmaintained roads in the UK and you would have scrapped it long ago ?

Good going though keep it up Tex.

I'd rather have a Corvette if I were where you are.

beer Cheers TW>>>

I like mine! I've had it for 8 years now.

I'm always getting compliments for it, and people often come up to ask questions about it.

Totally not a sleeper though! ?

Arguably I think the 89SE is better than the V8wink

Here's mine

Nice colour and best size spoiler too. My dad had one of the first ones when they came out in 89 when he was a dealer, he went to Millbrook to pick it up i remember the first time my brothers and i went out in it, it was bloody awesome!!!
