There are various pleas going around the net asking for people to vote for one of other of the SEAT drivers in the forthcoming race at Brands Hatch on 27th September.

The driver with the most votes gets poll position in the race and the winner of the race gets £100,000 worth of sponsorship for next year.

One of the drivers - Spencer Marsh - used to race in the Autobytel Lotus and he's offered to carry some PH stickers on the doors if we throw our (considerable ) weight behind him.

So if you have a moment, a vote would be appreciated at

www.seatcuprachampionship.com

That said, they do force you to register all your details so I'll understand if you don't!

P.S. that weekend should be a good one. As well as the fabulous Tuscans, there's a convoy of PH Ultimas heading down there and they'll be on display too.

Got to the register now page, but then it doesn't give me any way of putting in my details.

I watched the last round of this at Rockingham and I thought it was the worst lot of racing I have seen in a long time, more like a banger race than anything.

The drivers were told to have a clean race at the start as spares were scarce, did they listen, did they fk, and as for that teenager, not the sort of attitude to take into a race, low and behold he stacked it.

Disgusted at what I saw.

Hmmm

"and as for that teenager, not the sort of attitude to take into a race, low and behold he stacked it"

The reason for how he stacked it was, he had a punture, but then you wouldn't have known that.....

I don't really care if he had a puncture or not, I may have a bit more sympathy for him if I'd have liked his attitude going into the race....

"just drive like an idiot, not my car so I don't care"

IIRC or words to that effect.

Anyone who enters doesnt get a disposable car, accidents have to be paid for and not always from Seat,

Obviously you'll be on the grid next year then.....show them how it's done.

His first car overheated after the mechanics had replaced his radiator, and the water fell out.

All part of motor racing.

I have to say i watched the rockingham race on tv plus the extras on itv2 straight after and thought how bad it looked, certainly didnt seem like professional motorsport! infact ive seen more professional banger races and kart races! they might as well of just wrecked half the grid before the start of the race!

Most of the drivers seemed to be seriously over-driving the cars, i know with some of these cars you seriously have to hustle them around the track, but that was a complete joke! Just seems like half of the drivers didnt have respect for the cars at all. I know in motorsport there is a fair bit of paint sharing, but this was silly!

They should all fit in just nicely into the BTCC then

They want to sell you a car! They are looking to attract a better class of Cupra R owner than they currently get. You know the type they have now - heavy drinking, womanising, forum frequenting...

Yeah but they have celebrity owners too. I hear Phil Collins and Popeye have both been sighted driving a black Leon Cupra R.....

I would like to think that was possible, I'd give my right arm to do some racing, I would've done my ARDS course this year and have gone to college to motor vehicle and motorsport studies but due to an unforseen illness I have had to take this year out and it doesn't look like I'll be back in September.

But then you wouldn't have known that.....
