Picture Of The Week
Back to Le Mans for this weeks wallpaper...
I'm sure you all know that we are big fans of Aston Martin here at PistonHeads, so we couldn't resist celebrating their second consecutive Le Mans 24 hour GT1 win by featuring the winning car on Picture of the week.
Their 009 car took the lead within the first three hours of the race, but then had to fight tooth and nail to stay ahead of its Corvette rival, with the gap dropping to as little as four seconds halfway through the race. Even by the finish, having covered more than 4,500 kilometres, the two cars were still less than five minutes apart.

God i'm having le mans Withdrawal blues.
You spend months building up to it, planning it, sticker the car up, loads of mullah on extras you may need, loads on food to take. Then before you know it, its thursday morning your on your way and next minute 28 crates of beer latter your driving back through Rouen chasing the ferry that leaves in 2 hours time. Then next your at home back to work, removing th stickers, god i'm depressed.
I tried to get the le mans spirit going again in the office today by setting fire to my bin and chucking all my paper and plastic rubbish into the fire, i even had a cold shower this morning to give me that le mans feeling, i even tried drinking a green bottle of stella for breakfast this morning. but alas i just can't emulate that Le mans feeling, So thats it, 350 days of planning left till 2009. Still got a Nurburgring and British rally and F1 GP in the meantime.
Anyone else feel the same
