Where's the grass/flower bed gone from infront of the garage in the last picture?

Still cool though!

Only if there is a secret underground tunnel so you can enter the car from the house and then just pop up and zoom off- that would be cool.

Could you convert the basement to a large garage space, say 4 cars, and use the lift simply as an access route?

I don't think it has, it's just perspective.

Not for me really, a garage is a big cosy room where you keep your car, tools, lots of shelves and racks, have an old comfy sofa or chair and a rudey calendar. Far to clinical IMHO.

Wasn't/Is there a guy on here who has a double garage like this under his driveway also which goes up infront of his real garage?

Probably.

We tendered on a place last year with a 4 car underground garage, that had drive in, drive out mews access with a turntable rather than a lift though.

That would be my dream garage. Maybe without a lift but a long ramp leading underground to the garage

See above.

If you've got £11.5m lying around, I know the place for you!
