subaru impreza turbo. help needed

ive just got hold of a new impreza turbo,and i need some help with a little problem;car runs great untill it gets to 3000 rpm when the turbo kicks in and it just seems to give it all at once. which is very quick, but when in 5th gear and touching 80 mph it just kicks in all at once and cant seem to handle it... i would be greatful if anyone could help me on this ,,

Sounds like to you need to take it to a decent tuner to diagnose the map. If you ask on www.scoobynet.com forums you will probably get a more specific response than on here.
