Something a little bit different for this weeks picture of the week, Amy Cole (www.ac-photography.net) took some close-up detail shots of the Lamborghini LP640 Roadster we tested this week, which we though would make a great desktop.

The car looks stunning in Pearlescent White and this shot makes it easier to see some of the tiny details which make these cars so special. Hmm, I have to admit, for such a dynamic car that image doesn't do it any justice. I get the jist, it's the roadster resulting in a mandatory shot of the roof line but that's failed to capture the essence of the car imo.

Looks like the black and white Porsche stays put for another week. Mind you, that only just replaced the picture of that Mazda concept that stayed put for nearly a month.

There is nothing wrong with the photo its self, and I think Amy would be somewhat dismayed by all the -ve comments. It also works ok as a desktop - not too fussy so you can still see all the thousands of icons on your desktop.

What people seem to be moaning about is that it is a stylised shot of the car, rather than a shot of it screeching round a corner. Of that, they have a point. Horses for courses.

You really need to work on the photography chaps. .

This ( and the really awful photos with the orange Aston V8 ) are pretty poor. My dog could do better.

C'mon chaps - get it together.

PH is great at many things, but a source of inspiring car photography it certainly is not.

A picture is a picture.. it's not the worst I've ever seen. But the quality of the photo is appauling, and what bothers me more. The noise in the blacks is particularly bad!
