I thought I heard somewhere that the first branch would be opening reasonably soon (end of yearish) in Harrods . I know it's a big American tourist trap but surely it's not exactly the target audience. More outlets will follow, hopefully one in the city so that I can get even fatter at my desk .

It is rumored that one donut has the fat of a 1/4 burger. But they are good. I have a shop down the street from where I live.

Capital Radio had a box delivered yesterday morning - guess it will be in London somewhere, maybe Leicster Square. It would be the right place.

Yep, try here www.krispykreme.com/uk.html. Shall we say lunch at 12:30 (or are there going to be some early birds in at 09:00?).

"Like other Krispy Kreme stores, our Harrods location will offer our customers the unique "doughnut-making theatre" experience. Visitors will be able to watch their doughnuts being made right before their eyes behind a glass window. A glaze waterfall, which coats more than 40 doughnuts per minute, contributes to a store production of more than 200 dozen doughnuts per hour. The new store will also feature the signature Hot Doughnuts Now neon sign, which lights up to inform customers that Original Glazed doughnuts are ready to be eaten fresh off the line."

Krispy Kreme

Nothing more satisfying to fend off the evil Munchies than a 3am trip down to the Krispy Kreme on Ponce De Leon (real name!) in Atlanta.

Happy days.
