I would like to understand why, whenever global armageddon seems likely with the destruction of all things that make society work, people feel that they must wear a gimp suit and strap themselves to the front of a car.

Happens every time.

I've already painted my S4 matt black and fitted armour plates... ready to go to war for a tank of guzzoline!

Finally I can stand next to it and say "last of the V8 interceptors" in an Ausie accent.

Whats that? Share prices recovering? Petrol prices dropping? Bugger I better get the T-cut out...

If society collapses and fuel becomes scarce, you'd need to conserve your supply as much as possible. Therefore the best thing would be an armour plated Prius, Smart, or Polo Bluemotion.

No. But if a depression kicks in, it soon will be.

Taking the kids to school could get a lot harder, what with all the marauding gangs of looters everywhere.

Come to think of it...it's already like that in Slough now is'nt it?
