did I hear this right this morning on BBC news - oil is expected to come down next month, so much so that they predict it will be back to under a £1 per litre?

Oil is already at a 12 month low - so roughly whatever prices were 12 months ago we should back to those levels again shortly.

I've seen it at 102.9 at a few places.

Got 5p off a litre at Sainsburys the other day, which brought it to under a pound per litre for me.
Ditto at Tescos.

I was shocked when diesel only cost me £1.159 a litre tother night. Diesel this time last year was ~£0.949 a litre.

It's a good point. We're happy because it's dropped to £1.03/litre - this was the average price in March 2008 !

No it's good news! Food prices are supposed to be going down too! And the banks should start lending money again! Isn't Gordon great? silly

Cheapest petrol at the moment here is 106.9p
Still not cheap enough for me to go out and buy any, shall continue to run the oil burner every day for a while longer.

So, to summarise, we're all well chuffed with £1 a litre are we, even though 70p of it is for the robbing one eyed scotch c t.

Just LISTEN to yourselves.

Precisely. Those fecking scottish gimp running the shop has won!

Sure, its good to have prices drop down to what they were earlier in the year, but its still too darned expensive!

Yeah but it's the petrol companies and the garages innit? Make them pay a windfall tax!

Also the bail out of the banks is likely to increase the cost of oil.
