Just out of interest what does anyone think that the number plate "UK 6" would be worth?

Shall we just say that I work in insolvency and a client has just turned up in a very swanky Mercedes with that plate and is pleading poverty!!!!

PULL THE OTHER ONE!

There's a transport company around called UK something or other that have a lot of 'UK' plates on their lorries. Could be worth a call?

I was thinking it would be worth more than £15k.

I just need to get an idea of value before I start looking into whether it was the company that paid for the plate or him personally etc etc. I have my investigation head on now and I never stop until I have managed to remove someone's prized possessions.

Please don't think I'm a b*tch for doing so - trust me - he's a very very dodgy man who I do not trust! In my line of work you tend to get a feel for people very quickly.

Phone a couple of number plate dealers posing as someone who wants to offload it. Most act as brokers so will give you an idea of what they would punt it at.

He's not looking to sell it - I'm looking to find out whether he bought it through the company and us as insolvency practitioners taking it from him and selling it!

Will have to look into number plate dealers maybe.

DVLA Auction prices. Bear in mind that UK 6 is an original issue with the letters first so would be worth a material premium in theory (please see Tonker's comments above).

Also refer to DVLA recent auctions. There appears to have been a shift upwards in the price short dateless numberplates are going for.

I think registration companies will consider purchasing a plate like this for their stock and so it would be worth getting quotes.

so you just need to get hold of the famous footballer Umberto Kingston.

He'll pay at least that for it. Oh he also has to wear the number 6 shirt.

You should be careful what you say tbh.....
