As a 2 car owner I object to having to tax 2 cars when they are only driven 1 at a time. Why not have a multi vehicle licence-either on 2 cars or on the owner who can display it on any car he owns.I can't work out how they would be monitored though by the DVLA to ensure evry driver had to have one.Lack of
Insurance and Road Fund Licence is a danger to every law abiding person as these people will never stop in an accident as they don't want to be discovered. Any thought on the perfect system?

Also becomes a self-policing green/engine size/congestion tax too. Drive a big engined heavy car in traffic and watch your MPG fall and tax rise. Drive a small light car not at peak times, pay little tax. Nip to the shops without ever getting the engine warm, pay a fortune no matter what you're driving.

You could add 3rd party insurance while you're at it.
