Has sadly gone bust.

'Need a car please mate'

'No trouble Matt, we'll send the Merc'

03 Plate S320 CDI and cheap as chips, £12 from Windsor to Staines.

I'll miss them.

This takes me back - when I was in my 20's the taxi drivers kept out doing each other with faster and faster cars. It all started off with 1998 UK Impreza 2000 Turbos then a few had Accord Type R's, before one of them got a 555 branded STI - all of them scared the life out of me.

I remember once one even wanted me to pay him extra to 'nail it' - tosser

Dont be a tool.

It's an E60 520d M-sport. Black right? The S-classes are 320CDI's also.

Anyone who claims to have witnessed any of the above being used as a taxi is clearly talking bks. No individual or firm would be so stupid (or cash rich) to warrant having such cars racking up massive mileages with equally horrific fuel costs to boot.

Brisk, without sounding patronising, are you sure the cab you saw was an RS4 and not a ebay - wheeled 2.0TDI?

Ay best in Leeds for me was a fella who had a Cavalier 4x4 Turbo a good 7 or 8 years ago. Nothing really interesting now just a few nice new a4/6 diesels and a few nice merc c classes.

Either the one who was playing loads of Elvis at Christmas time or the one with all the disco lights blasting out S Club 7. Ooh, or the one we had to get to the footy game that had already started in Prague but we were too busy in the pub to realise, he had a tv in the front that was picking up the game live.

Or money laundering. Allegedly....

(Note - I don't think mine was an AMG Merc, but it was nice)
