I’m travelling up to West London tonight (Ealing)

I usually go up the M25 then do the A3 to Hammersmith then A4 to Chiswick, I do this 3 times a month roughly.

As it’s Friday night and I don’t usually do the journey at this time, is there a better route?

I’m thinking M4 to Chiswick or M40 then through Southall?

Any thoughts? Where is the biggest traffic hot spot?

Cheers,

Mike

Don't go through Southall.

The M4 should be okish (M25 will be a nightmare though) as people usually head t'other way.

That's why i usually take the A3, gets me off the M25 quicker, I always find there's lots of traffic past the Reigate junction and hate sitting on the M25.

Plenty of different routes.

1. M23 then A23 onto the South circular.

2. M25 J9 then A243 to Kingston, then Richmond

3. If you want a scenic tour, M25 J13 then A30 then A4

4. M25 J8, A217, Sutton, Kingston, Richmond

I wouldn't envy you on any route with your specified
start / destination, especially on a Friday nite.
