Photo leaked from a dealership:

I'll wait til i see it in the metal to make my final judgement, but it looks a bit too 'smooth' for me - a sports car should be more aggressive...

Looks quite nice, but is that a folding metal hardtop?? I hope it doesn't look as horrid as the hardtop fro the last Z4 did.......

Other than that, I think an M version would look goodsmile

I like that bonnet. The current one is a bit bulbous but that has a nice sharpness to it.

Current model:

I think the original is more coherent, the new lights at the front are very 5 series

You can clearly see there are no rear lights on the photo.

Looks less depressed than the current rather dopey looking model.

Looks good to me. Would it not be called the Z5 though, or have I got it wrong?

Saw it lapping the 'ring at the end of October with light disguise (i.e. outline-disruptive colour-scheme).

It was wearing a hard-top of some description - we couldn't decide if it was a folding one or a detachable one...we guessed at detachable, but may be wrong.

Re: Z4/Z5 - they only renamed it after the Z3:-
1) To disassociate it from the embarassment that was the Z3.
2) Because it was a larger car.

Hard to say without seeing more of it but hopefully they'll stick the V8 in the M version, although on that photo alone, I prefer the existing model.

scratchchin A last fling from the contrary pen of Crash Angle. I wonder if the proportions are better than prevous versions?
You mean the pen of van hooydonk surely?

That is horrible. They've moulded some big/dull 5/7 series style lights in then the vent in the bumper has that horrible downward curve which elongates the front end makes it look decidedly unsporty, the old model was a lot nicer but there was definite room for improvement.

Are you people blind? The current one looks like its suffering from a mental illness, new one looks much better.

Has that picture not been photoshopped?

Look at the area around the grill and bonnet?

Hmm.

looks like the photoshops were quite close, front wing shut lines are a bit strange though, think I prefer the old one though wouldn't say no to a 4lr v8 version.

How tiny do those wheels look. Is it running on 12's.
