Bond Minicar, a mate had one. 250cc Villiers single cylinder engine under the front that turned in unit with the front wheel. Was fitted with a starter cum generator thingy that never worked properly so he would have to lift the bonnet and use the kickstart. It would regularly misfire and kickback sending his leg at high speed into the underside of the bonnet causing the rest of us untold mirth' It weighed next to nothing and would often be picked up by half a dozen mates and carted off and parked in another road somewhere. Happy days

I had one of those - no reverse gear either. Twice I reported it stolen, only to find that someone had 'parked' it in a garden in the next street (was you wasn't it). Kick-starting wasn't too bad, well, not compared with kick-starting a Panther 600cc single. But one did look like a prize pr*t standing in the engine-bay doing the one-leg-cycle. Good times though! Yep! I had one as well, mine was the "van" type, the rear of it was very similar to the reliant regal van, most of them were single cylinder 2 stroke villiers engines, but there was the odd one or two that had twin cylinder engines in.
