RE: 9ff Draxster

9ff Draxster
9ff makes a 1300bhp dragster out of a 911. Like you do...
Porsche tuner 9ff must have a hell of a lot of 911s knocking about. Their latest creation also looks like the result of having far too much time on their hands because it is not an uber-powerful road car but a 1300bhp dragster.
In the 9ff tradition of giving cars a name that look a bit like something else they have called it the DraXster and we can confirm that this thing shifts. Try 161mph in a Veyron beating 9.5 seconds for example.
The layout of rear engine and rear drive lends itself well to drag racing and out the back of this Porsche is a 4.0-litre flat six twin-turbo lump with 877lb ft of torque. The lack of aerodynamic add-ons would suggest this car has been built for nothing more than the quarter mile.
But then again, if you’re 9ff you can just build another one if you want to do something else…

When does a road car become a dragster?
Set up.If they had made it into a non-roadworthy dragster then I can understand it.

I rather would have a max 750hp sharper/lighter fast responding version...
Well, yeah, 9FF do those too, but this was built AS A DRAGSTER. It's only got to go in one direction...I rather would have a max 750hp sharper/lighter fast responding version...
They could take it further... e.g. tall Mickey Thompson's on the back instead of the low-profile rubber. Sod the 'Ring, I wonder what the record is for a Porsche over the 1/4 mile?

That's wrong.http://www.machinehead-software.co.uk/bike/speed_d...

I tried doing 1/4 mile at 60mph and instead of coming out with 15s it came out with 25s. Then I did 400m @ 60mph and it came out with 24s!
Crap website...and it's not even difficult maths!
