Cheapest Petrol in EU

UK petrol is the cheapest in the EU at well under 90cts a litre.
Another sign of rip-off Britain surely?



BTW : I'm Europe-based and just bought some Wii and DVD goodies from Amazon.co.uk for around 50% of the local internet prices. This weak pound situation does temporarily have its benefits.

But what will happen in the medium term - surely the GBP price of imported goods (e.g. oil) will simply rise and UK inflation along with it?

I prefer to express it as 300% tax on the petrol, although you are right in saying that 75% of the total is tax it sounds much worse the other way!

I thought oil prices were set internationally, not locally and don't we still produce a fair bit ourselves?
