Which depreciated car are you hoping to pounce on in 2009?

For me a 2002 ish decent spec 996 cab; watching and lurking as such good value. Cash ready but depends on how the contracting job market fares in Q1 & q2 before have the financial confidence to pounce

Well, I suppose in a recession people will still need hairdressers - hair, as I'm sure you're aware, won't stop growing, or indeed perm itself, regardless of the economic mayhem and social collapse going on.

Personally, I'm on the lookout for something understated, but over-armoured.

I'm quite happy with my daily driver, but I might get something better for the girlfriend. I'm sorely tempted by a 328GTB/GTS as a weekend car too, but I know I couldn't afford to run it.

I mentioned the Maserati 3200 as a good value car the other day - and my understanding is that they are cheap for a reason: they need more attention than average, and that attention is not cheap.

With a £12k sticker price, I'd not dip my toe in unless I had another £12k sitting in the bank.

I will be looking for a AJP V8 Cerbera in the next couple of months but the damn things seem to be fairly recession resistant, dammit. However my Audi S4 while it wasn't a big price car last year when i bought it, it seems to have lost somewhere in the region of 35% value in the last 12 months This on a 9 year old car as well.
