This is a serious question - do any seriously wadded people have any taste any more?
It's just that, every time I see a car belonging to someone with a pile of cash large enough to block out the sun, it's something that's already expensive, with a bodykit, an in-yer-face paint scheme, a badly clashing choice of interior colours, an obnoxious set of in-car entertainment options, the biggest wheels they can cram into the arches and a personalised plate that basically says 'look at me, I OWN this! This is mine'.
Compare that to Steve McQueen's Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, on the plate it was issued from the factory with, in metallic brown. It would be considered dull by most wadded people these days, but it's a million times cooler than just about any rich person's fast car I've seen in the past ten years or so.
Cars like these seem to flag the owner up as a rather insecure person who can't believe their luck and wants to remind the rest of the world - not the choice of an enthusiast or confident driver.
