laugh

really, picking up a 6 month old Suzuki Swift sport

not bad considering she's almost 76.

and what a shame, she picks the car up next wed and then off on holiday for a week the following Monday. I shall then run it in for her driving

Might even get her a PH stiker for the car too

Haha, brilliant fun car to drive, I suspect it was a case of the dealer flogging the most expensive model?! How's her hips as the ride in these things is far from comfortable!

hips fine, went with her looking for cars. she was set on the normal non sport swift. then I sat in the sport, then she did and it was her choice wink really

she liked the twin exhaust, sports seats etc...

quite a upgrade from her smart car which is a harder ride

Excellent, what colour did you go for, I believe the new metallic white one is available from Jan '09, looks the part! I have the GL but have my eye on a sport later in the year.

Good call Granny... Got to start beating the local chavs off the lights now. Apparently that's what Ann Wisdom (1950s/60s World Rally driver!) used to do in her Subaru Impreza! She was well into her 70s at the time, so must have crushed a few egos. hehe

My Gran did something similar three years ago went to buy a saxo thought they were all to slow apart from the VTR (she didn't try the VTS)yet it had never been above 3k rpm or 75mph she ended up gettin rid of it for an A3 similar to the op's opinion not bad for a 68 year old.

These women, eh?
Pat Moss, who died recently, got a speeding ticket a short while ago - she was towing a horse box at the time.
