Just fitted one of these at home. Apologies for the crap text it doesnt seem to have converted well when I've uploaded it to youtube.

Top fun though and these things have just about got a 100% success rate against thefts.

Links into the main alarm system on the house but I've also put a failsafe in the form of an additional sensor to stop false alarms

Guide price is £1400 but you can get units you could do for nearer £1100

Oh yeah you could add something to it to sting a bit. The smoke somes as a liquid so you could mix something in with it if you wanted to

the problem with how you have that setup...

if they can quickly open the door and get in, the car wont fill with the smoke.... then they just drive through your garage door

Wrong.

You cant see clearly on the video as it encoded a bit poorly but the second activation is done with the garage door wide open prior to activation. In a real break in situation the system would be triggered by a sensor on the garage door so by the time they had lifted the door up the unit would already be discharging. Obviously you aim it for the drivers door.

Me and my dad tried it a few times and there is no way you can get in the car you just cant see!
