I thought i would throw in my plan for a discussion.

The idea is you have been given a blank cheque and you have to buy one car, custom built, standard, whatever, but just 1. I would like it to be from the heart and no talk of a 'nice little investment' or buying 1, selling it and keeping the profit.

I think it would be interesting to see some of the suggestions, maybe a bit of a reason to.

I will start....

My blank cheque would be handed straight to someone like Reyland, GGR, etc. to build me a monster spec Imperial Blue Escort Cosworth. A road legal track car please, monster engine, touring car spec chassis. That'll do me.

I know some of you may laugh but i said, from the heart, and nothing stirs me quite like the sight of an Escos!

So, how are you going to pick the kids up from school, do the BIG shop & would you leave it overnight un-garaged!

If you really are talking about 1 car it would have to be a 'real world' car. Mine would have to be a BMW CSL, M5, Bently Conti GT, but I think I'd go for a Black Series Merc AMG CLK63.

Alright then, i will make my idea a bit more clear. I meant the one 'pistonheads' car you would buy to have as well as the family hack.

Aston Martin DB4 Volante, with all the mod-cons such as air-con, a good heater, uprated brakes and suspension, but all well hidden. In dark red, please smile

997 GT3 RS

Or maybe the new one that is coming out soon!

Maybe, who knows? I would seriously struggle to pick one car.

I think I would have to test drive 100 cars to find one!
