First of all, welcome to the forum! wavey

There's always the internet if you want to know more.

As for driving lessons, I suppose you could ask your dad to get things moving, but make sure it's on private land for a start! Driving lessons are getting expensive, and also the test is split in two parts. So there will be a lot of learning and studying.

Again, welcome here and I'm sure others will be of assistance to you here.

Welcome to the forum. Having a few young relatives going through the learning experience at the moment it has shocked me how many lessons are required and how much they cost.

As has been said, anything you can do to get the feel for a car in the meantime will be of great benefit. Also, start by paying attention when you are a passenger in a car to get the idea of lane discipline and how to handle roundabouts.

Best of luck with it.

Ford Ka. Nissian Micra. VW Polo. Citroen Saxo. Renault Clio.

Obviously you have to stick to an engine capacity of 1.2 or under because insurers doesn't take a light view of learner drivers in cars with capacity bigger than 1.2 although you might get away with 1.3 litres.

With used prices sinking more and more, you are in for a surprise!

Hi mate. Welcome to the forum.

When I was 17 a couple of years ago, I went down the usual driving instructor route, but it helped me no end when my father insured me on his car and let me drve on L plates.

As for first cars, all depends on budget!

This is my usual forum name. Plus I don't have the Audi anymore. Felt like I was lying to people!
