B&B tuned Scirocco Gets 350bhp

Tuner adds 150bhp to Volkswagen's new coupe

Have you ever thought the Volkswagen Scirocco was a little underpowered? Well tuner B&B has squeezed a further 150bhp out of the Scirocco’s 2.0-litre TFSI engine thanks to a collection of engine modifications.

A total of six performance mods are on offer that range from changes to the car’s ECU, to a full engine overhaul, replacing pistons, cylinder heads and increasing the size of the standard VW turbo.

B&B claim the fully tuned EVO R stage 6 modifications return 350bhp, deliver a blistering 0-62mph time of 4.9sec and can push the slick VW coupe onto a top speed of 170mph.

The company can even tune up your entry-level Scirocco to 237bhp, an increase of 89bhp over the 148bhp 1.4-litre engine. There’s even a tuning program for the 2.0-litre TDI model.

To round off the package B&B also offer a high-performance braking system, a sports suspension kit that lowers the car’s ride height by 35mm, and custom wheels of up to 20-inches.

I like the look of them but would not like to be paying out for a new one as soon as you drive a mile with all of the potholes around here.

I think the 1.4 version tuned is the best bet and all, economy of a 1.4 with well over 200bhp cant be bad.

Wheels are awful and that front splitter wouldn't last ten minutes on real roads. Engine modifications sound interesting though. smile

It loks a bit like one of those car-toons you can get at motorshows of different cars that have had the Max Power treatment exaggerated!

Still cool though, although as someone has said, got to have rubbish ride with those wheels

I think you can completely forget the economy of an 1.4 when you squeeze out 170bhp per liter out of it.

My thoughts exactly as 4.9 sounds very optitmistic and once in a blue moon type figure !

The handling would more than likely be appalling with 350hp going through the front wheels, you wouldn't want to stick your foot down coming out of a bend...

+1

Stunning in the flesh, but needed the power to go with the aggressive look.

This could be the answer (though still no V6 :'( )

not being funny but it should look like this anyways ...well with out the Bad Photoshop job, but the grill is right and the wheels with the proper off set and rubber would look SPOT-ON. Still recon the stock car is a bit like the old Honda Civic, I got two, each of my neighbours have one, both in blue one dark and one light and they dont do alot to thrill me.
At least it appears to be tasteful if not expensive.

I agree. Cool with 4wd. Still don't really like the looks.

I'd be surprised if it can really do a sub 5 sec 0-60 run being a front wheeler, getting the power down will always be difficult, but the in gear performance figures should be pretty startling.

With those wheels in looks like some Max Power cartoon!!

Isn't this just a photoshop? Hence the comments on the wheels and tyres
