...was the question asked of me by a driver this evening. Even though I answered, the driver still didn't seem to understand the answer, which I repeated several times in different ways.

And when I said 'You've got your foglights on, and they blind oncoming drivers', she said "Oh, have I, how do I turn them off?"

Numpties. Not an issue of brain not in gear, more brain missing.

don't you find it amusing when tossers drive around in perfect weather with their front fog lights on and one of them's not working!?!

never fails to make me lol as they just look like bigger fools than they already are...

In my case it's usually someone with a quiet voice whose vehicle has an extremely noisy engine that they refuse to switch off despite the fact that I can't hear a word they're saying...

Uckfield? Its about 7 miles down the road! Or about 15 or 20 miles north of Eastbourne.

As regards front fog lights I have to admit to be guilty of driving around with them on. By mistake I might add. Not sure how or when they got turned on as the switch is out of site down towards ones left knee. Equally there is no light on the bashboard to say they are on, and I just noticed they were on when the immoblser decided to play up the other morning!

Didn't you know? Driving with foglights on instantly gives you all the skills and stature of an experienced rally driver Your lost person was clearly just missing her co-driver.

Try it - it definitely works

Hi Manek

I know the way to Uckfield very well...quite a few good overtaking places along the A272 Had a race with some young guys in a 996 and 911...they won though If you ever see me heading that way, don't forget to wind down your windows to listen to that glorious Veeeeee8 roar. I'll even slow down for you

saw one today: bright, glorious sunshine... and a people carrier (picasso, or along the lines of) with main beams AND fogs on... I mean, could they not see well enough already?!

Will do! Did so for a couple of chaps a week or two back: I was in the Cuilfail tunnel and they were right ahead of me in a topless Cooper Green Chimaera (same colour as mine was - sigh). And doing what I used to - slow right down then nail it to get the noise! If you're here, guys, I was in the silver 911 and gave you the big grin and a thumbs up at the A27 r/about...

Mostly it's popes, Guy Fawkesm and effigies of the year's winner of the 'public plonker of the year' competition.
