Sporty Ibiza Estate From SEAT
Hot Ibiza wagon on the way, but details remain sketchy
Seat has released a teaser sketch of its forthcoming Ibiza ST Estate.
The hot Ibiza wagon has been designed by ex-Lamborghini designer Luc Donckerwolke, who has revitalised the Seat range with a series of sporty looking designs.
As expected with a sketch of this sort, no official details have been released about the car that is likely to make be launched midway through 2010. The Ibiza ST Estate will be Seat’s second sporty tourer after the Cordoba Vario which was launched in 1998.
Buyers can expect a range of punchy petrol engines and an economical diesel option, with prices similar to Skoda’s Fabia estate.

Pointless car!!!
Dont quite understand how you can have a Mini-hatchback Estate model. Doesnt make sense!! Whats the market for this? Isnt an Ibiaza Estate just going to be.....a Leon (slgihtly larger storage space than Ibiza)!
You dont live in a town or city then?Dont quite understand how you can have a Mini-hatchback Estate model. Doesnt make sense!! Whats the market for this? Isnt an Ibiaza Estate just going to be.....a Leon (slgihtly larger storage space than Ibiza)!
I agree that the Ibiza is all over the place, slashes here. creases there then they put some crappy Austin Metro tail lights on the back?
I would prefer a Funki colored Fabia 3 Estate, lower it put some nice wheels on it 17" Roomster Scout or Scirroco, Fabia Sport Body kit... then Send it to Jabba for some Tweaking.

Wouldn't it basically just be an A3?
No, this uses the new Polo platform, A3 uses the Golf platform. and the Polo and Ibiza use Skoda platforms, like before......
not alot of people will like that

The 1.4 petrol in the latest shape Ibiza is an astonishingly wheezy unit.
That is all.
Yeah its a bit pathetic, but this should get the TSI units which are a lot nicer. That is all.

OR DOES EVERYTHING COME FROM VW?

let me see 2000 Fabia came out, POLO and Ibiza on the same platform came out when? after using the Skoda as a Guinny Pig.

Just because Skoda get the platform first dosent mean its there own work. The Audi A3 was the first car to use the Golf MK5 platform, that dosent make it an Audi platform. Likewise the current Seat Ibiza debuted the new Polo PQ25 platform, again it wasnt made by Seat its a VW platform.OR DOES EVERYTHING COME FROM VW?

Chances are that there are engineers at all locations working on platform development.

In Wolfsburg, they press panels for SEAT,Audi and Skoda and if you see a 1.2 engine, or 1.4TDI it was built at the Skoda Factory.
I love the Meccano set of VAG.
Indeed the Names are Just for Marketing, but if you have your Blinkers on all you see is Branding.
The first car to use the component is the test bed for the rest.

Am I the only person who thinks the new Ibiza just doesn't look "right"? Its those lines/creases on the doors that make it look awkward. It deffinately doesn't have the style of the Leon.
Your not going to like the new Leon then... Not a lot different but going more 'Ibiza'.The 1.4TSI (180ish ps) will be about very soon, this is obviously the Twincharger lump from VAG and in an Ibiza should be brilliant - mated to the new 7sp DSG with 'Flappy Paddles' will make a good B road car.
The 1.4 is a bit ashmatic but nowhere near as bad as the 1.6, once the 1400 is up and going it's fine, but it is only 85ps, The 1.2 is the engine that surprised me the most, it's actually not abd for a stupid little 3 cylinder lump, quite revvy and fun on the back roads.
