Car audio recommendation
Discussion
I would certainly recommend the Sony Xplod with Bluetooth (can't remember the model number but Halfords were doing it for £99) the latest version has a USB port, mine doesn't but has all the other features, the best one being the Bluetooth. It works like a conventional BT handsfree in that it stops whatever you're listening to and lets you have the conversation, the mic is actually built into the head unit so no worries about leaving wires everywhere, and it cuts back to the music when the phone is put down. The clever bit though, is if you have music on your phone, you can play it via BT through the car; when I bought a decent music phone this saved me carrying iPod and phone around everywhere.
Even better, hook it up to a set of Alpine speakers and there you have one of the best stereo's this side of a BOSE system

Did I miss a car audio forum amongst the new P&P by the way?
a fella, it does not look like we have a car audio forum on here, best bet is to go to www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb as it is a forum dedicated to car audioI had a similar question on here a few months back - see http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
As a result I bought a Pioneer DEH P3000 and I'm pretty happy with it. Sounds great, if I had a gripe it's with the display, in an ideal world it would show more detail, but it's usable.
