He seems to be having quite a few problems shifting it, it's been for sale a number of times i nthe last 6 months, I imagine it's previous damamge status is putting a few people off, but it's had some top men working on it, even if the styling is a little suspect, how much would a new bonnet be?

Maxed up Cerbie, now had it been a Saxo with the bonnet vent, you lot would have taken the pi$$, but it's a TVR, so it must be cool.

I think you'll find the general opinion is to point and laugh at most body modded TVR's

I must stop speed reading, or at least get better at it..

I read "professionally repaired, used regularly since,.." as "professionally repaired regularly since,"

It's much cheaper to do the repair like this than use all new (or still pricy, second hand) parts

I like the lights (well I would wouldn't I) but agree with the bonnet and the grill

If you wait around a repairable bonnet will come up for a couple of hundred quid, or get a new one for 700, getting the grill back into shape will take a bit of work though

As a cheap fast car, it's difficult to beat though

Sorry to the owner first.......... but I am in the maket for one of these at the moment and the price was very tempting but i have to say it may be the cheapest Cerbera I've seen........ but on looks for me its a complete NO No (not sure on the colour) looks like the old Rover 216 convertible colour???

car has been for sale for ages too, on auto trader and top marques.

To be honest the Cat C thing shouldnt be a problem especially if its been autolined (i think thats what its called). should be as good as new.

I'm sure it is as good as new and lots of people say that cat C/D isn't a problem.

To them I have to ask the question 'Would you buy it?'

Cat C is a fair old smack though isnt it...!? thats bound to drastically limit the resale potiential (as is demonstrated by the fact its still being pushed for sale)

Edited to add.. the price is still dropping too isn't it.. wasn't it £14k last time round..?

Edited again to add... personally though I it..

Cat C means, repairable but not economic to do it using new parts and expensive labour.

Cat D means , repairable and economic to do it using new parts and expensive labour but insurance company has chosen not to (normally due to it being boderline econmical and case has already attracted large recovery and storage costs.)

If I wanted a Cerb and had the cash I think I would buy it (or make an offer). The bonnet would definitely have to go though

The grille I could live with (and the lights ). It must have had a lot of people around it looking at it if it's being punted in Top Marques/Auto Trader/ Here. Perhaps it's not as straight as it looks.

At the end of the day, if it is straight, then keeping it 5/6/7 years at that money is not going to hurt when resale is needed - Cerbs will be cheaper by then, and Cat C is what you see in the 'Damaged Repairables' section of the Auto Trader isn't it?

Don't you hate it when vandals run keys down the side of your car like that?
