Vath Tuned Merc C63 AMG Estate

Roll-cage and carbon trim for high-speed dog carrier

For most people the joy of owning a car like the Mercedes C63 AMG Estate will be its understated looks and outrageous performance, but German tuner Vath has decided to turn the Merc Q car into a fully blown head turner.

Power in the Vath V63RS Mercedes C63 AMG Estate has been increased to 585bhp with an enormous 509 lb ft of torque thanks to an optimised exhaust system and a reprogrammed ECU.

Vath has also added adjustable dampers, presumably to maintain the car’s agile ride when carting your household junk to the tip, and fitted new shocks. The brakes have been upgraded with six-piston callipers and 390mm drilled discs, and a new differential has been added.

But the most obvious changes are to the body, on which Vath has spent considerable time and energy creating a new carbon fibre front lip returning 12kg of downforce, large carbon diffuser and carbon side vents. The whole Vath package is rounded off with 20-inch split rims and new Michelin tyres.

The family friendly element of the Merc Estate has been maintained with a TV/DVD unit, although the optional roll-cage might interfere when it comes to fitting the dog guard.

No price mentioned and there's nothing wrong with the standard car anyway!

I could ask that about all 'Performance' estates! Why not just buy the saloon version! The estates are just soo ugly and big!!!!

But as far as estates go...this is probably one of the better looking (but still ugly!).

I saw a C-class 6.3 AMG in a petrol station in Cheshire at the weekend. Sounded like a spitfire when the chap started it up. It roared away. Amazing.

The guy at another pump reckoned the driver was a Man City player (name escapes me).

I think it's amazing that you (apparently - pinch of salt?) can get nearly 600bhp out of that engine without forced induction. Biblical.

Pricing for the Väth V63RS Clubsport is set at approximately EUR 125,000 for the complete vehicle, while individual components can be ordered based on your individual needs.
So a fair whack more than a 'standard' (hehe Like an estate with a 6.2l V8 can be standard!) C63, but probably a wallet full less than a Brabus/Lorinser/Kleeman. smile

WHAT!!!!

Why would anyone want this at that price, when you could pick up a CLK Black Series for less!

I know which one I'd rather have!

how come? people have been getting over 100bhp/litre for years. bmw M cars are naturally aspirated and even way back when, when they supplied the engine for the mclaren f1, that was 627bhp from a 6.1. albeit more cylinders... new m3 is only 4litre with over 400bhp... or am i missing something?

do you REALLY need that explaining? How about someone wants a fast family car and needs the space offered by an estate?

Awesome. I am fairly certain Darth Vader would use this as a company car.
