Just been to the supermarket and two things that i realy hate happened one after the other,

While traveling on an A road ,a rover 25 came out from a juntion in front of me ,now on A roads i usally drive between 50-55 mph which i dont find to aggressive ,but this rover just came out and didnt excelerate up to A road levels therefore i had to brake down to his speed 20 mph, yet he saw me but still drove at 20 for a couple of miles then turned of.
Why oh Why? do people do this ,it realy annoys me.

Next was driving dowm a town road and a fiesta reversed out on to a main road from a driveway in front of me again i had to react quickly to stop crashing into her, she didnt wave or say sorry ,
What is the matter with people why cant the adhere to the highway code and drive accordingly.

Ok rant over

Isn't it illegal to reverse out of a driveway on to the road?.
My neighbours do it,although its a real quiet road so no aggro really,i find it so much easier and safer to reverse in(because i know it's clear) and drive out.

No opportunity to overtake?

Highway Code said:
Do not reverse from a side road into a main road. When using a driveway, reverse in and drive out if you can.
So not illegal, but not recommended either.

Just getting in to a position to reverse into your drive on main roads would be quite the hassle if it's busy.

More hassle than trying to reverse out? even with someone helping.

Just about the only thing that really annoys me on the roads is people who pull into your path and then make no attempt to accelerate away. I don't mind easing off a bit to help, but put some bloody effort in! grumpy

I'll wait.

I can see him coming.

Here he comes.

Nearly here now.

......and gently pull out.

Don't look back.

20mph is MORE than enough on this road.

He's saying something.

Is that mucking fustad? Something like that.

I'll turn off.

No need to indicate.

I must say they were all out this morning in central London. And by 'this morning' I mean 5-6am.

Pedestrians wandering out into the road, van drivers changing lanes without looking, buses stopping without signalling, a Punto that stopped in the middle of the road, a Paramedic Zafira (lights not on) that must have been within about three inches of my rear bumper... I mean, I know it was early, drizzling and so on, but eek

Some people seem to have a bizarre theory that it's OK to pull in front providing they are planning to turn off within 30 secs. Of course the turn off actually makes it worse because they have to slow down.
