I'm going to watch Tiesto in Victoria Park tomorrow, never been there before, where abouts is best to park that's not too far away?

Cheers

Bethnal Green side of the park IMO

there's a number of residential streets that have parking restricitions but they should be 'out of hours' by that time

it will be busy...

have a good one!!

I'm looking to get down there between 1pm-2pm, gates open at 2pm. So will I struggle to find somewhere to park and will it be horrifically expensive?

There is a little known free car park behind Bow Wharf but I wouldnt risk leaving a car there for more than a couple of hours. You could get a tube to Mile End and a short bus trip straight to Victoria Park. There is a lot of residential parking and the few available spaces are usually expensively metered.
Like Sleep Envy says its not going to be easy that time of day.

Residential parking around that way is enforced until 6.30pm in most streets, after that its a free for all. You could park in Stratford shopping centre and tube it to bethnal green from Stratford - 2 stops on the central line.

I do not know what time Stratford shopping centre carpark closes though...

Used to live around there and even for residents, parking spaces are like rocking horse st!

There is plenty of public transport, Central, District and DLR plus buses, so in this instance i would say park and ride.

At that time of day, public transport is your friend without a doubt.

Even later on you'll struggle to find a space - those with permits will have parked in all the residents spaces while they are still restricted, leaving very little available.

The area is very well connected with public transport links (Mile End is no more than 8 minutes walk from the park, and there are busses galore) - and it's your best option.

We were going to go by train too, but with it not finishing till 22:45, I wouldn't have got a train back.

I was after the VIP tickets, but they were sold out too. Not surprising as they've been on sale since December, didn't know about it though.

I think a park and ride is the best idea.

M6, M1, M25, then down the A10.

So where is the best place to park and ride from??

Enfield? There is a big shopping / industrial estate near Southbury rail station just off the A10 on the A110. You can then get the train south towards Liverpool Street. You can get off at London Fields or Hackney Downs for a short walk to the park. Not sure how late the trains run.

not the way the last poster suggested as the trains are still on strike tomorrow
