Finally after 3 years, I finished it after all the discussions of whether it would screw up the 50/50 blance, wouldn't the HP and Torque tear it apart. Well Reality is, it's as stout as any TVR or Cobra, with a slighly lighter GVW and it runs GREAT.

What's your opinion? Watch some Video first, it might change your mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHVhoYBeyMk

I thought the LS swap was a common mod. There is a US company specialising in this IIRC.

Looks a neat install though thumbup

Does the aspect ratio keep switching for everyone else (from 4:3 to 16:9) or is that just me?

When I started there were only Ford 5.0 conversion kits available (manufacturer stated about 250 kits sold world-wide market) I after extensive research, 4 years ago, I found only 2 one-offs being built with LS1s and some talk about people wanting to develop conversion kits. NOW, today there are two, known, reputable LSX Miata conversion kit manufacturers, but their total numbers sold, combined are estimated to be less than 100. Well known Flyin' Miata in the states is actually "Doing" LSX Miata conversions now and selling top quality kits and parts.

Mine took over 3 years because of my dis-satisfaction with prototype k-members and a lot of various parts, and just starting over again in major chassis issues, until I'm finally happy.

Yup, the Video format jumping is some kinda You-Tube anomoly, the whole thing was shot & edited in 16:9

What a great car, wish there was more footage of it actually moving. I'd love to hear what that thing sounds like going through the gears and just how fast it is.

I'll see if I can figure out that aspect issue and I'll be doing some in-car driving around (Mountain roads here) Video and I'll remeber to post it up here.

Thought you "Chaps" might appreciate my Cannon salute at the end too.

I don't know common TVR weight numbers, but my Miata is around 2600 Lbs. (electric windows & other comfort junk included)

Hehe, surely that must get a few people looking around for the source of the noise and looking right passed you.

Very impressive, must be great fun to drive.

Fantastic! I would love to drive one of those.

A great job too, it must have been great driving it when it was all finished.

LOL at the first comments people make are around whether it is actually a common mod that a company carries out, and about the aspect ratio of the video.

OP, I salute you!

I street drove this Miata, I bought it used from the original owner(a woman) and loved the absolute dis-respect it garnered both on the street and in the SCCA and NASA roadracing events I participated in for about 4 years.

NOW it's an ultimate "Sleeper", so much fun ahead with encountering the typical WRX-STI, Turbo Honda kids and S-2000 owners, eh?

I would imagine the Japanese car drivers would be OK... It would be the Corvettes, Camaros, and other hillbilly hicks that would be disdainful.
