Some little gits have just done the windscreen in on my beloved Chimaera in the car park out the back of the flat.

The sickening thing is that I only picked it up from the garage last night after it being off the road for 4 years. I really could cry! Just give me five minutes with the little f*ckers and a pair of long nose pliers and I'd guarantee they wouldn't make that mistake again furious

So any bets on how long it will take autoglass to source a windscreen for a 14 year old obsolete TVR?

Luckily just the windscreen and nothing else, body work untouched (now that would have been expensive!). Can't speak for the other cars in the area though. The mad thing is that they were being chased by the police at the time too!

absolute fkers, kope karma comes round and bites them in the ass!

reminds me of pulp fiction when vincent is upset about his car getting damaged after only just getting it back on the road...

Vincent: Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some dickless piece of st fked with it.
Lance: They should be fking killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.
Vincent: Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that asshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.
Lance: What a fker!
Vincent: What's more chickenst than fking with a man's automobile? I mean, don't fk with another man's vehicle.
Lance: You don't do it.
Vincent: It's just against the rules.

if you report it as vandal damage to the insurers, you will get stitched up on next years premium.

That's crappy. You'll have little bits of glass rattling around for ages now.

as above that would then go towards a poor area the car is left at, just claim for a cracked windscreen from driving

How do you know it was little fkers?

If you saw them do it, that is worse in my book than appearing the next morning to find the damage rage

Hopefully you won't have a problem with Autoglass, theyve done plenty though of course supply can be a bit hit and miss.

If you do get stuck, this chap runs a windscreen place and is TVR-friendly, might be able to help smile

Whats the damage? Thats wierd how none of the paint was touched. Could it be a bird dropping a stone? (dont laugh!), air weapon?
It's those sodding european swallows. they just haven't quite realised the pythons were having a joke.

Bad luck about the car but look on the upside if they's damaged the fibreglass you'd have been a hell of a lot worse off.

Does you insurance have cheap glass repairs (mine has an excess of £60 for a new windscreen).

Two other cars down the road had the same done to them. Youth was seen by a neighbour being chased by another member of the public that had witnessed the windscreen smashing. Think he must have used a hammer or something.

I see where you are coming from, but not sure I can pass this one as a crack, it has obviously been struck with force. I suppose I could claim a flying bolt on the motorway? I do have a crime ref number, and do have windscreen cover on my (2 day old!) insurance.

Amazing, fair play to the police, I reported it at 1am last night, then at half two they where taking pictures of the damaged cars, then at 8:30am this morning they phoned, gave me a crime ref number, and said they were investigating it! I chuckled a little, saying that I'm sure they've more serious things to attend to, but apparently they have a blood sample and a few descriptions they they will follow up on! Good to see that even the little crimes are being looked at.

Just spoke to Autoglass, they want me to take it in to get checked out. That'll be an interesting journey as I can't really see much though it! They were pretty helpful though.

Although they did say they may need to order some carbon fibre bits and possibly respray some bits? Surely that's rubbish? I think they must be thinking of a newer model?

They're thinking of the Cerbera where the side carbon pieces are sometimes needed. Get them to order in a new outer moulding for the screen though. It's always best if they can reuse the original, but they rerely come out in one piece.
