An agreeable morning in August (car collection)

On Saturday morning, Mudskipper, Dr Dave, ChimTVR and myself visited PHers "Duesey" - Mike and Claire. Mike very kindly gave us a guided tour around their family's classic car collection.
Hopefully they will appear on this thread and explain some of the model names that I've forgotten.
First off, Mike took us in to see the cars that needed some TLC, all of which are soon to be auctioned at Beaulieu.
Rare 1949 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport
This is apparently worth £60k to £80k in its unrestored state!

We then went over to the building that housed the 'keepers', some of which are fully roadworthy, others needing some bits and bobs to make them usable.
Bugatti Type 57 'Atalante'
Recently a runner-up at Salon Privé. Stunning inside and out and should have won!
Facel Vega II
I was very excited to see this one - beautiful machine, though apparently it doesn't drive particularly well.
Bentley Le Mans "Mother Gun"
An original Le Mans race car that was dismantled by Bentley and then painstakingly reconstructed over 10 years, utilising as many original Bentley parts as possible. Even the period clock cost £10,000.
Buick
Apparently often used by Claire's father to drive to the pub, with accompanying breakdown rations.
Roll Royce
Mercedes Benz 300SL
Lagonda
This Lagonda's future sees a full, and rather expensive, re-body as a Le Mans type racer.

Morris Minor
Mike told us the previous owner of the car documented his 9 year rebuild, but sadly died one year after completing it. The photos show it as it was found by this chap. See the first picture in this section to see the car as it is now.

Many, many thanks to Mike for giving up a few hours of his weekend to show us the splendid array of machines for which he and Claire are the custodians.
Thanks to both Daves for coming along at short notice, particularly because they asked lots of mechanical questions so we didn't look stupid.

pity they are selling the Alfa 6C as it will probably be chopped about and made into a rep of one of these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Alfa_Romeo_6C-25... rather than being kept as a record of its actual state.

Do you have any more information on the D-type and the GT40?
They are replicas. The Cobra is a Pilgrim Sumo, and the D-Type may be a Lynx. All three are not yet running. As for the GT40 I think I missed hearing about that as I was busy snapping away. Do you have any more information on the D-type and the GT40?
Hopefully Claire or Mike will post something up about them.
