Hi folks

I've had massive problems with enterprise rent-a-car recently, which culminated in me getting sworn at quite visciously on the phone this morning. I've tried to raise my concerns and anger with Enterprise UK, but nobody wants to let me speak to someone senior.

Anyone have any idea how i can take my complaint to the top, i'm still fuming about it hours later!

Andrew Taylor is the CEO of Enterprise Holdings Inc, based in St Louis. They are the holding company for Enterprise Car Hire in the UK (It says so on that web site)

A check at Companies House http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/39f3b6069565f445... shows a number of "Enterprise Holdings" companies registered in the UK, It costs a couple of quid to find out who their members are (ie the CEO and Directors) and their addresses. Just make sure you have the right company before you write to them!

I did this once after getting nowhere in a complaint with Easyjet for 6 months. A letter to each of the listed Directors and it was sorted in 3 days.

I'd go for the UK MD with a formal letter of complaint going into full detail:

Brice Adamson
Managing Director
Enterprise Rent-A-Car UK Limited
Enterprise House
Delta Way
Egham
Surrey
TW20 8RX

Edit: Mark the envelope with "Private and Confidentical" written by hand

Enterprise car rental company
I am not happy with enterprise I originally got a quote for customer service of enterprise. I asked about a second driver that was in the price as well . But when we came to pick the car up . We got told that we had to pay extra £200 which we didn’t expect to but as we were going on the next day on our European holiday. We had no choice. Then they promised us a car with a turbo but when it came to it we didn’t even have a turbo car or a fuel injection car considering they knew we were driving across Europe. So because of that we incurred over £300 plus cost of fuel which we didn’t expect so I contact the ceo of enterprise . This is the letter that I received and before I say any more they didn’t give me what they agreeded to and I have been trying to email them but they have been ignoring every single message all I want is what they agreed to give us in the email.
Thank you for your email. I am very sorry for this, it should not take this long for you to reach a solution.

I have taken matters into my own hands and I have processed a refund of £300 to make up for the issues you had with this rental. We would not plan for this to happen, but I would not want you to be out of pocket because of this.

You should receive your refund of £300 to Mastercard in the next 3-4 working days.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience here, customer service is very important to us, and I do hope this has now resolved this matter.

I look forward to your response.

Kind regards

Will
