Video: Ferrari 458s Give It Everything At Mugello

Two Ferrari 458s being driven the way nature intended

Two Ferrari 458s, one empty Mugello circuit. If you've had a frustrating commute at any point today, you might not want to watch this video - it could make you cry with jealousy.

Normally these arty promo videos are all style over substance (check out the recent Lamborghini Reventon and Bugatti vids for proof), but the 458 Italias in this 2mins and 25secs of automotive pornography get 'down and dirty' more than once. There are full-chat starts, more than the odd dab of opposite lockery, and even some seriously determined apex clipping.

Click on the image below to watch the video. Lovely.

Terrible video - it's a shame. I genuinely think that the Top Gear team would have made a much better video, even with JC driving smile

Seeing it driving about really emphasises just how simple the shape is, compared with the F430.

Looks lovely, reminds me of something but I just can't quite place it.. something unusual from Gran Turismo 2...

ETA - Possibly a Tommy Kaira? Was there one you could tune to just under 591bhp? It had a rear wing but otherwise had the same kind of lithe, agile look.

Sorry, it's been a while but there's still a lot of that game in my brain...

Dull, dull, dull. Far too over-productionised. TG probably would have done it better.

I think the car looks a bit ugly frown The front has a cartoony aspect to it and the panel gaps leading into the headlights are just odd. I don't think the back looks much better, not very beautiful in proportions and the 3 exhausts does nothing for me.

I really like the side profile but other than that I just don't think it works. Not that i could ever afford one anyway so my opinion makes bugger all difference. smile

Funny, the overriding thought for me was that it didn't suit yellow at all! Stunning car in red though.

I too think the styling a missed opportunity.

It's almost there but the stupid Vauxhall VXR style rear lights and strange front headlamps spoil it. Oh, and that laughable, chavy exhaust is a disgrace...

Thought the main bearings were shot, but it's a drum, isn't it...?

With all that passion, how come the Italians are crap at war...?

I didn't see the end of the Video, was far too busy clearing up the mess in my pants from the noise at 28 seconds!

So I really am the only one who thinks that's not a good looking car then.
