hi guys,

I've managed to break the clips that hold my spoiler down.

I used some extra strength super glue but at speed it just breaks off again.

anyone have any experience on what is a very strong glue or bonding agent? and where can I get it?

cheers

silkoflex or tigerseal. Neither will come undone. Ever.

Tiger seal IMO wasn't all that..

Tried to do my side skirts with it, and they slipped again..

My R33 GTR's spoiler and side skirts were fixed on using tigerseal. Tested to 190mph (regularly) with no problems. It does take a while to cure, and the bodyshop had a nightmare getting them off.

www.ebay.com and tap in 3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attachment Tape 06384. Should bring up Dale Wilch. Buy a roll. It's what they use to attach spoilers, hood scoops and side ducts in the US. It sticks like sh** to a blanket and there's nothing else quite like it.

Try anything made by Araldite, they make very good Epoxy resins etc

Ah, I had something that attached to my windscreen that must have used that stuff (was a black tape). Was very good, I might get a roll to use around the house to things I never want to come off ever ever again!

Right, just been to B&Q and Halfords - both dont stock any of the above, Something about health and safety, they cant stock anything that 'permanently bonds'

So where do I go?

go to either a local bodyshop or a screen fitting place, I find it best to remove the paint from the underside of the spoiler before applying bond if possible.

IMO you need to use any type of flexible PU adhesive, solid bonding will nearly always fail on spoilers etc.

Whatever you're sticking will probably require clean surfaces to have any chance of sticking - it might also help if the surfaces are keyed slightly.

Right,

Having a flexible one makes perfect sense - what are the options?

Thanks all - really appreciated
