Out of interest.

How do you spin the wheels in a RWD but remain stationary?

Is it a trick with a separate braking system for the front wheels only?

You mean for burnouts?? Some cars have line locks, that will allow just front wheel braing, but in most cases, it is just the power from the rear wheels overcomes the brakes on the rear (that generally have less force than the fronts).

Lots of revs, dump the clutch and transfer your left foot to the brake pedal.

You then need to balance having enough brake applied to hold the car while using enough throttle to keep the tyres spinning.

Make sure you dont confuse a slipping clutch with spinning wheels as that gets expensive

Also if you are in a fairly modern car the ECU / ABS unit can get confused as hell by playing silly buggers so make sure you have got enough room to 'roll out'...you might find the brake pedal will go rock hard and not really do anything.

To roll out without smahing your transmission just ease your foot off the brake and use the throttle to control the car.

If you are in an auto its just left foot on brake and right foot controlling the power.

Remember that your engine will be heavily loaded so will generate massive heat but with no airflow over the radiator, the transmission will heat up superquick to.
