Not happy - had our tyres slashed!

Overnight tuesday-wednesday, some arse slashed all 4 tyres on my car and 2 of the mrs car tyres too. Cost me £300 for 6 budget tyres to replace them.

I have since fitted two infra-red motion sensor cameras, two PIR lights and have put a small fence around as much of the garden as is possible.

Our cars were the only ones done. I have not fallen out with anyone that i know of, other than to tell a scrote to wind his neck in when he was outside my door the other night, pissed up and having a domestic with some dog-ugly bint. At the point he woke my son up for the second time, I opened the door and told him to sod off.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to stop it happening again? Car is under PIR lighting and camera, only one car lives at home now, police putting patrols in during the night. What else can I do, other than sitting up every night waiting for the idiot to have a second go?

it could be your job mate. a friend of mine on the force has had similar over the years.broken glass through his letterbox and various acts of vandalism. hope this not the case though

My previous Discovery got keyed stem to stern by a local tt. He also did four or five other cars the same night. Problem was that one of them belonged to a 'family' not known for their patience....It was also on video.
Family man wanted to put the lad in a ditch and took a lot of convincing not to. anyhoo, lad gets nicked, charged after he admits it all, convicted at court and i get £100 compo, no probs since and he sees me most days.
I would say get a small video camera put up covering your property. Most systems these days are reasonable in price and are cracking evidence in my experience.

I would suggest you have upset someone if it was 6 tyres on 2 run of the mill cars and noone else was touched.

Short of staying up on 24 hour guard there isn't really alot you can do apart from hope it was an isolated incident sadly.

Suspect i have upset one of the local scrotes by telling him to stop shouting and swearing in the street, waking kids up, generally being a drunken arse. Can't prove it YET.

Have got motion sensor activated CCTV up and running covering the cars and garden, but who knows?

Don't think it was job-related as I don't work where I live, and keep my work kit out of sight, so only friends and neighbours know what I do for a living. But I don't know for sure.
