Bought a car,never received service history. What to do??

I bought a saab (i know, i know) some time ago, based on its condition, lack of owners,low mileage and full history.
Did the deal in a hurry- from a respectable trader, who took my TVR in part ex against it.
I needed to send the dealer the log book, duly done, and he was sending the service history to me.
I never received it, and am looking at selling the car as i have been advised by the Dr to get an auto.
I have made contact with the garage, who have told me that they are still waiting for the log book, although the car is sold, being used and is curently taxed.
Until the logbook arrives, the service history will not be sent out.
What do i do next?
I need to sell the car on, but without its history to substantiate the low miles, i guess its as good as worthless?
Im not well enough to drive there, have a row with the bloke and so on, and i really dont need the hassle at the moment.
Anyone able to offer any help with regards legal standings?

I have only done 2000 miles in it, so not due a service yet, and dont know the name of the dealer used for its upkeep previously.Thats worth a go thanks.

The dealer is claiming that they never received the paperwork from me (so how has it got a new owner) and that they refuse to release the paperwork for my vehicle until they receive the logbook.

Ahhh cleared up by your post above^^.
You've used the terms Trader, Garage and Dealership all to mean the same entity.
If the v5 has been lost in the post 35 quid for a new one , write them a cheque. Then arrange an appointment to hand over the cheque while collecting the service history?

As do Audi. Using a record of the service history from Audi UK and a replacement service history book I was able to 'recreate' the history for an A6 who's service book I had mislaid.Took me a few weeks to get all the stamps and copy invoices, and once I had it all sorted I then found the original service book in an old laptop bag I hadn't used in months.
Saab have a main dealer requirement to submit service (and repair I think) history to them on a regular basis.
Some Dealer Management Systems can provide an easy tool for this, or the dealer can manually add this via the dealer comms link.
Now whether they do this or not is a different question....
