Afternoon Team,

I'm a lurker on this site, I love reading the general gassing posts.

One poster in particular always intrigues me and that is Robm77 - his posts are always interesting and a joy to read.

I love the way that you really "feel" a car when your driving them. IMO the majority of people get into a car, "push pedals" and "turn the wheel", but don't really "drive them".

I only drive a huumble (compared to some of the metal on here) 145 Cloverleaf, I absolutely love driving it though, the noise is spectacular (removed the intake manifold solenoid and has a KN cone filter). It has great feel too with direct inputs and a lively engine. The car is worth f*ck all, however I have a list of mods that I intend to make to the car - which possibly cost more than the value of the car - to improve handling and braking. IMO this is what driving is about!!

I don't hate Rob M77 as a few of my aquaintances do, he does talk some real bks sometimes but he means well.

It's amazing how he's illicited a following amongst the great unwashed though.

OP does he swallow?

Robm77 is a driving legend. He needs 100% feedback from the car 100% of the time, which is what it's all about. I often imagine that he could have made it in F1 if he'd been in the right place at the right time.

Unfortunately I picture him with a ponytail, silver-framed NHS glasses and a black Zidjian T-shirt, with a faux-leather mobile phone holder on his belt and a big bunch of keys.

Sadly he is unable to accept that people may choose to own cars that don't offer the "100% feedback 100% of the time" experience that is so vital.

Rob, you legend, post a picture of yourself!

That's what you get when you buy cars from Amari.

ps - sorry if any of my comments are taken the wrong way, I'm just on here to chat and make a few friends beer. I'll be the first to suggest a Yaris to someone wanting a shopping car or a Leyland Daf if they want to transport bricks around the country; however I do like to chat about driver's cars in detail, so sorry if sometimes I can get a bit too geeky! smile

rob is most definitely one of the more articulate and perceptive people when it comes to talking about cars

i also tend to agree with him whenever i've compared notes on a car that both of us have driven

not sure about the legend bit though wink
