M1 gantry speed cameras

Hi all,
does anybody know if the variable overhead gantry cameras on the m1 work? Either with or without a speed limit displayed?

On the M1 you say? Can't say I've ever noticed them. On the new bit?

I've been up there over the speed limit before and not had a nice letter arrive...

It's around junction 6 u can't miss the overhead gantries with the speed camera signs on them

no cameras on there yet though, just empty spaces waiting for them to be installed

Wasn't sure about them because there are maybe 3 or 4 of them waiting for the scameras I think in that case, have u checked round the back of them? Or do they not work yet?

Do you mean the new 4 lane section near London? I've been through there at 1.15 leptons and no letter through the post yet...

It's a nice stretch of road that. Although you wouldn't catch me breaking the speed limit.

an indicated 1.25leptons trying to find out why i had boost fluctuations over 4krpm...

and there arent any cameras there yet?

the "variable speed limit" signs are still painted over in grey and i have never even seen the matrixes on...

anyhow, how is 1.25leptons speeding? its an immesurable unit of distance/time.

Anyway, you're right. The signs are painted out (for now).

I saw the matrices/matrixes flashing today with (an advisory) 40mph limit due to "Queue Ahead" (even though there wasn't one). I've also seen them stating "End" when there wasn't even a "beginning".

I guess that when/if they go active, it'll be in an M25-style way.

Tried clearing the misfire on my MG. Noticed the gantrys but no cameras, and no letter. Engine limited!
