obviously theyve been thrashed but 18 grand still seems like a bargain to me! does anyone know if you could put one through an sva test? (Just wondering, theres not a hope in hell i'm going to drum up 18k in the foreseeable future!)

They're replacing them with M3's for 2010 I think..??

Always enjoyed driving them at Palmersport but as far as I could tell them were very heavy on consumables and were prone to getting hot very quickly.

Hubba Hubba if I had 18K I'd have one of those in a heartbeat! Ideal trackday toy. I did a few laps in the road going XKR 5litre at Brands & it was an amazing car.

i broke the diff on one of those after the instructor very kindly allowed me to do all my laps without T/C!! beer They were very heavy on their tyres and brakes, but ran on lpg so you may save cost there!!

Surely if you pay your 18 grand its up to you where you use it as long as it is legal ?

I have seen much less roadworthy things like motorised Armchairs and the like.

HATED driving these on the Motorsport sensation day....

Traction control drove me NUTS.

drove them 6 times in all... hated it more each time!

some of clients who were not experienced drivers and were scared stless in stuff like the JP1 liked them though. So they did a job it must be said smile

The only negative was the TC I thought. But if it were not there then I would have probably spun plenty. Thought the sound was EPIC!. Just as good out of the car with the popping & banging!

surely that's a mistake... the cost of the donor car before ripping everything out and modding it would be £70k??

They have had NO mechanical sympathy for 3 years and thousands of people drive them, seems fair to me!

They were NON road legal cars that were not elligiable for any race series that I know of....

They were used and abused as well (although VERY well maintained)

very heavy (and gearbox and traction control were a pain) to ever be a really fun track toy...

not a bargain if you ask me.
