Just bought a new TV and saw it in the shop, looked brilliant, picture quality excellent. Got it home and after about 2 hours I began to realise it wasn't quite as good as my old TV(only a few years old though).

So was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with a car. Where you've test drove it and loved it then got it home and after a while hated it.

So how long before you regreted buying a new car?

About 30 mins. Changed my 2nd A4 to a 3-series and realised it wasn't a patch on the Audi in terms of quality, comfort, size, or anything else other than handling. I kept it 3 months IIRC and was glad to see the back of it. I don't know what possessed me to change in the first place. I suppose I just fancied a change but should have stuck with what I had.

I sold my Mk1 Focus RS and bought an Audi TT. To this day, I still don't know why and it took about a day to realise my mistake.laugh

had my e36 328i coupe for year and a bit. it's still sat on the drive. i've always fancied the m3 so bought an evo a month ago.

it's a good car, but tbh now i have it i realise i could probably have lived with the 328i.

When I was forced to change from my Peugeot 205 to a Fiesta 1.4. Peugeot got written off after a scaffolding lorry lost its load on it. (My car was parked up at the time) I bought the Fiesta from Car Craft, more fool me!!!) disaster, newer than my peugeot but far more trouble, regretted the buy within a week. So glad when I traded that in. My Peugeot was a great car at the time.

Funnily enough I have another Fiesta 1.4 same age as the white one was (97) Had it almost 2 years and it has been a great run around, smart, tidy, reliable, I guess the other one was a 'lemon' as the Americans say.

I sold my Smart Roadster after 3 years and bought an Audi TT 225, I stopped kidding myself after 2 weeks that I liked it. I kept it 6 months, sold it for a small profit and got another Roadster, the Audi was so numb to drive compared to the Smart. I smiled every one of the 300 miles back home after buying it
